IvySCI End User License Agreement (EULA)

ivySCI, developed by Nanjing Qingteng Gezhi Information Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ivySCI" or "we"), is provided to ivySCI users (hereinafter referred to as "users" or "you") and requires you to comply with the following End User License Agreement. This agreement sets forth the conditions for your use of the ivySCI software and related services. Please read and fully understand the terms of this agreement carefully, especially the terms that exempt or limit liability.

1. Introduction

1.1 Welcome to use the ivySCI software. By logging into ivySCI, you are deemed to have read and agreed to be bound by this agreement.

2. Registration and Account

2.1 You must register an ivySCI account to use our services. When registering, you must provide true, accurate, and complete personal information and ensure that your account information is kept up-to-date and accurate.

2.2 Your ivySCI account is a personal account and may not be transferred, sold, or shared with others. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and must not disclose them to others. You are fully responsible for all activities conducted through your account.

3. License and Rights

3.1 The ivySCI software is a literature management tool that provides services such as literature management, translation, reading, and writing. Subject to compliance with this agreement, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the ivySCI software and related services.

3.2 You agree not to use the ivySCI software in any illegal, abusive, or unethical manner, including but not limited to:

  • Unauthorized access or use of other accounts or information.
  • Creating, distributing, or spreading malware, viruses, or other harmful programs related to the ivySCI software.
  • Attempting unauthorized reverse engineering, decompilation, or decryption of the ivySCI software.
  • Using the ivySCI software to infringe on the intellectual property or privacy of others.

4. Account Deletion Policy

4.1 You may choose to delete your ivySCI account at any time. Account deletion can be done through the latest version of the ivySCI application (mobile or computer), and you must upgrade to the latest version.

4.2 Account deletion will undergo a 30-day waiting period. After the waiting period ends, your account and related information will be permanently deleted. Deleted accounts and information cannot be recovered.

4.3 After account deletion, we will add a deletion record. The deletion record only records necessary user ID and other minimal information that does not involve personal data. The login history of the account will be retained for an appropriate period as required by the laws or regulations of the location where ivySCI operates.

5. Privacy Policy

5.1 You agree to comply with ivySCI's privacy policy, which details how we collect, use, and protect personal information. The privacy policy can be found on the ivysci.com website.

6. Security Measures

6.1 You are responsible for protecting your account and password to prevent unauthorized access. If you suspect that your account security is threatened, you should notify us immediately.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 You must ensure that the literature you manage in the ivySCI software is obtained through legal means, including but not limited to purchase, borrowing, licensing, or having legal authorization.

7.2 ivySCI will not be considered to infringe on the intellectual property of others under any circumstances. We will not check, review, or verify the legality of the literature you upload or manage in the ivySCI software. Users are fully responsible for the literature they upload, including ensuring that it does not infringe on any third party's copyrights, patents, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.

7.3 If the ivySCI software is found to be used to infringe on the intellectual property of others, we will take appropriate legal measures as required by law, including but not limited to deleting the infringing content and terminating the accounts of users involved in the infringement.

8. Indemnification

8.1 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ivySCI, its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your violation of this agreement or infringement of third-party intellectual property rights, including reasonable attorney fees.

9. Disclaimer

9.1 The ivySCI software and services are provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, reliability, or non-infringement.

9.2 ivySCI is not responsible for the content, accuracy, legality, or completeness of the literature managed by users through the ivySCI software. Users are fully responsible for the content of the literature they upload.

9.3 You should make independent judgments and use the ivySCI software legally during your use, including reading, taking notes, searching, sharing, and forwarding (collectively referred to as "use"). ivySCI is not responsible for any damage caused to yourself or third parties due to your use.

9.4 ivySCI is not responsible for any inability to use, loss, or reduction of account data caused by communication line failures of telecommunications departments, network or computer failures, system instability, and force majeure not caused by ivySCI.

9.5 ivySCI will back up user data in a timely manner to ensure that user data is not lost. However, in the event of force majeure, including but not limited to terrorist attacks, violent coercion, control by state violence agencies, etc., resulting in the loss of ivySCI data and backup data, ivySCI is not responsible, and you cannot claim compensation from ivySCI.

9.6 Minors are not allowed to use this software. The users of this software are scientific research users who must have independent behavioral capabilities.

10. Agreement Modification

With the development of the internet and changes in relevant laws, regulations, and normative documents, or due to the business development needs of ivySCI, ivySCI has the right to modify or change the terms of this agreement. Once the content of this agreement changes, ivySCI will choose to notify you through system prompts, announcements, etc., based on the actual situation.

If you do not agree with the modifications to the relevant terms of this agreement made by ivySCI, you have the right to stop using ivySCI and delete your account as required by ivySCI. Note that you must agree to the account deletion part of the ivySCI agreement to delete your account.

11. Other Terms

11.1 This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the ivySCI software and the user.

11.2 If any part of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the invalidity of that part will not affect the validity of the remaining parts of this agreement.
