This represents a step forward in our persistent endeavour to make the Journal available to a wider global community.   In its role as an international hub of engineering and technology education information and resources, the WIETE continues to publish the Global Journal of Engineering Education (GJEE) established by its predecessor, the UNESCO International Centre for Engineering Education in 1997, with the principal objective of providing the international engineering education community with a forum for discussion and the exchange of information on engineering education and industrial training at tertiary level.

The purpose of this study was to develop Android-based teaching materials, which have qualities (valid, practical and effective) that can help to improve the quality of student learning outcomes and to motivate students to learn.The process of developing this material used the Plomp development model, which consists of a preliminary investigation phase, a design phase, a realisation/construction phase, a test, evaluation and revision phase and an implementation phase.To assess the quality of the learning device, the validity of the validator of experts was, then, tested in order to ensure that the teaching material is valid, practical and effective.

This article reports on research that is aimed at developing and producing a self-learning model based on open-ended questions or the PMBST (accronym form Indonesian) model to increase students' creativity in a calculus subject.The main product generated is a book on the PMBST model.It consists of: a) introduction; b) theoretical rationality; c) empirical rationality; d) supporting theories; e) components of the model; f) instructions for the model; and g) bibliography.Furthermore, to assess the quality of this model, the authors used product quality assessment criteria created by Nieveen, which covers hypothetical validity and practicality.The instrument, which is developed for supporting the PMBST model development cover: an assessment sheet of the PMBST model, and a validation format of the PMBST model assessment sheet.The subjects of the PMBST model in this research are Master's programme students in the Mathematics Department at Universitas Negeri Makassar who have finished or are learning the calculus subject.The result of this research is the PMBST model developed with high theoretical rationality as indicated by experts' assessments.

The purpose of this study was the following: to examine the influence of the inquiry learning model on students drawing technique ability; to examine the influence of learning style on students' drawing technique and to examine the joint influence of the inquiry learning model and learning style on students' drawing technique.A quasi-experimental approach was applied to this study, with a non-equivalent control group and 2 x 3 factorial design.There were 79 students as participants from the Engineering Faculty of the Universitas Negeri Makassar (State University of Makassar), Indonesia.Research data were analysed using an analysis of variance.The results show that there was an influence on students' drawing technique from the inquiry learning model and learning style.
