This study investigates the factors influencing the attitudes, behaviors and intentions toward the adoption of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) technology, among art and design students at Chinese universities. The conceptual framework is grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2), and economic consumption theory. Data were collected from 434 art and design students with AIGC experience at a university in Henan, China. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was utilized for analysis. The findings show that Perceived Benefit, Perceived Usefulness, and Social Influence, are necessary conditions, positively affecting students’ attitudes towards AIGC. Perceived Benefit, Attitude, Social Influence, Hedonic Motivation, and Facilitating Conditions, were found to be necessary conditions for behavioral intentions, positively influencing students’ behavioral intentions to adopt AIGC. Social Influence showed significance, but the necessity was not strong. Perceived Risk held neither significance nor necessity. Therefore, promoting AIGC adoption in Chinese art and design programs should focus on resource allocation and perception creation.

Analysis on the Acceptance of AIGC Technology by Art and Design Students in Universities in China

This study introduces ALL-Talk, a web-based autonomous learning platform designed to enhance English-speaking skills among EFL students. Informed by extensive literature on second language speech influences, speaking anxiety, corrective feedback, and technology integration in language learning, ALL-Talk leverages Microsoft Azure’s capabilities, including Text-to-Speech, Automatic Speech Recognition, Automatic Pronunciation Assessment, and immediate visual feedback mechanisms. ALL-Talk was evaluated over ten weeks with 17 EFL undergraduate students, focusing on enhancing their Business English communicative skills through improved fluency and pronunciation. Although changes in fluency between the pre-test and post-test were not statistically significant, t(16) = 1.29, p = .215, 95% CI [-2.19, 9.01], d = 0.31, male students improved significantly in overall pronunciation accuracy, t(5) = 3.19, p = .024, 95% CI [1.61, 15.06], d = 1.30. Additionally, both genders improved significantly in pronouncing /dʒ/, /z/, and /θ/. Preliminary evaluation and feedback indicate potential for ALL-Talk to support autonomous learning and speaking improvement in EFL contexts. However, future research should incorporate a longer evaluation period to yield more substantial research outcomes.

All-Talk: Enhancing EFL Pronunciation With Microsoft Azure Speech Services

This study aims to examine the influence of the four levers of control systems (LOC) on firm performance. Further, the study analyzes how the choice of management accounting practice (MAP) interacts with the relationships between LOC and firm performance. Using a survey research design, data were collected from 158 firms operating in various economic sectors in Yemen. A structural equation model (SEM) is used for data analysis utilizing AMOS software. The results indicate that LOC is significantly and positively related to firms’ financial and non-financial performance (FNFP). Additionally, MAP moderates the relationship between LOC and firm performance. The impact of LOC on FNFP is more pronounced and greater in firms that use advanced MAP. This study enhances the understanding of how MAP interacts with other organizational activities, such as the control system in improving firm performance.

Levers of Control on Firm Performance in an Emerging Country: Do Management Accounting Practices Matter?

This research examines the interplay of psychological literacy, self-discipline skills, and emotional intelligence in enhancing forensic accounting proficiency among undergraduate accounting students in Thailand. Addressing a literature gap, the study introduces emotional intelligence as a mediating factor connecting psychological acumen and self-regulatory competencies to forensic accounting skills. Utilizing a comprehensive questionnaire based on an extensive literature review, the study assesses four constructs: Psychological Literacy (PL), Self-Discipline Skills (SDS), Emotional Intelligence (EI), and Forensic Accounting Skills (FAS). Initially validated through a pilot test with 30 participants, the final survey obtained responses from 605 predominantly female undergraduate students, using a convenience sampling method. Analysis, employing the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach, revealed a significant impact of psychological literacy on emotional intelligence and forensic accounting skills, affirming its foundational importance in accounting education. Moreover, self-discipline skills were found to more effectively influence forensic accounting skill development in comparison to psychological literacy, emphasizing the role of personal management in acquiring specialized accounting capabilities. Crucially, emotional intelligence emerged as the strongest predictor of forensic accounting skills, highlighting the necessity for emotional awareness in the accounting profession. This study advocates for an integrated educational approach, incorporating psychological literacy, self-discipline, and emotional intelligence into the accounting education curriculum. Such an approach is essential not only for meeting the technical demands of forensic accounting but also for addressing the emotional and psychological challenges of the profession. The research provides valuable insights for curriculum development and underscores the need for future investigations into additional variables influencing forensic accounting skills.

The growing body of empirical studies examining the factors that motivate volunteer participation in sporting events appears to be heterogeneous with notable inconsistencies, underscoring the need for a comprehensive review. Given the diversity of methodologies, contexts, and outcomes, this study aims to summarize, synthesize, and describe the literature on factors motivating sporting event volunteer participation in a narrative manner. It employs a descriptive meta-analysis of the empirical studies, focusing on the antecedents and findings related to these motivations, and aims to provide an integrative framework for these antecedents. This framework offers a cohesive view of the factors motivating volunteer participation in sporting events. The study also identifies potential unexplored research opportunities in the domain and provides suggestions for future research.

Factors Motivating Sport Event Volunteers: An Investigation of Past Empirical Literature

This paper addresses fragmentation in sports tourism research, specifically concerning factors influencing behavioral intentions, focusing on key psychological and situational variables. Through a meta-analysis of 18 studies comprising 14,495 observations, drawn from an initial screening of 967 articles listed in the Scopus database, this study investigates the effects of perceived behavioral control, subjective norms, nostalgia, satisfaction, percieved benefit, and percieved risk, on behavioral intentions among general sport tourists. Two distinct theoretical frameworks were examined to uncover the core drivers of intentions. In the first framework, the analysis revealed that perceived behavioral control (effect size = .58), subjective norms (effect size = .50), and nostalgia (effect size = .43) have a stronger influence on behavioral intentions than attitude or image. This finding suggests that the participatory and socially embedded nature of sport tourism amplifies the impact of practical and social factors. Nostalgia emerged as a particularly strong emotional motivator, as it fosters attachment to past sport experiences and enhances future engagement. Among the components of the Theory of Planned Behavior, perceived behavioral control highlights the significance of practical considerations, such as ease of access and affordability, in shaping tourists’ intentions. The second framework underscored satisfaction as the most influential predictor of behavioral intentions (effect size = .77), consistent with Expectancy-Disconfirmation Theory, where experiences that meet or exceed expectations lead to future engagement. Perceived benefit (effect size = 0.50) also played a significant role, indicating that anticipated rewards, such as enjoyment and social connections, positively affect decision-making. In contrast, perceived risk (effect size = -0.25) showed a negative effect on behavioral intentions, in line with Prospect Theory, which emphasizes how potential losses deter engagement, particularly in unfamiliar or high-risk settings. These findings have practical implications for sport tourism management. Enhancing nostalgia, facilitating easy access, and fostering social connections can significantly boost behavioral intentions. Additionally, strategies that prioritize high-quality experiences to maximize satisfaction, while emphasizing perceived benefits and minimizing perceived risks through transparent safety measures, can further encourage positive engagement. Future research should explore specific conditions, such as familiar destinations, group dynamics, and satisfaction-driven contexts, that might enhance the influence of these key factors.
