The journal Carbon serves as an international multidisciplinary forum for the exchange of scientific advancements in the field of carbon materials and carbon nanomaterials. It publishes new, relevant, and significant findings related to the formation, structure, properties, behavior, and technological applications of carbon, which is a class of ordered or disordered solid phases primarily composed of the element carbon. These materials can be synthetic or naturally sourced, including but not limited to: carbon black, carbon fibers and filaments, carbon nanotubes, diamond and diamond-like carbon, fullerenes, glassy carbon, graphite, graphene, graphene oxide, porous carbon, pyrolytic carbon, and other SP2 and non-SP2 hybrid carbon systems. Papers focusing on composites will be considered if the carbon component is the main focus of the scientific content.
